New Year in Belgium

We leave on the morning of December 30th. Ahead is the capital of Belgium. They say that once travelers see Brussels, they fall in love with it forever. The Arc de Triomphe, the Royal Palace, the Great and Small Sablon, the Palace of Justice, the Chinese Pavilion, the Japanese Tower, the hundred-meter Atomium, the European Commission quarter - you will see a lot of things from the bus windows! Evening walk will take you through the world's first arcade, along the beautiful Grote Markt to the mischievous monument - the boy Manneken-Pis! Overnight at the hotel.

December 31: In the morning, the gothic beauty of Ghent awaits us. From St. Michael's Bridge we admire one of the most beautiful cityscapes in Europe. In the cathedral we admire the unique Ghent altarpiece by the van Eyck brothers. We move to Bruges, the capital of West Flanders. The medieval city, as if frozen in XIII-XV centuries, charms with the curves of streets, the Lake of Love, canals and bridges of "Northern Venice". In its historic part there are more than 2 thousand sights, including the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the Cathedral of Our Lady and the Gothic City Hall. In the evening, return to Brussels for a New Year's Eve welcome. The central square of Brussels - Grand Place - is considered the most beautiful square in Europe: illuminated houses, giant Christmas tree balls and transparent spheres. On New Year's Eve, a grandiose show is organized here: light illuminations, performances and street entertainment.

January 1: After a rest after New Year's Eve, we explore the "Diamond Capital" of the world, Antwerp. We learn what inheritance Rubens left, how Belgium became rich in the XIX century and why jewelry stores have signs in Georgian. In the evening we are home.
