Excursion tour to Switzerland for New Year : New Year in Switzerland

We leave in the morning of December 30 and on our way to Switzerland we stop in Heidelberg. Germany's oldest and most prestigious university is not the only attraction of the city. The old town and castle ruins are among the most visited and popular places in Germany. Many stories are kept here: where else can you hear about the "winter king", about the biggest barrel - not a beer barrel, but a wine barrel! After the excursion and free time we move to Zurich and settle in the hotel for two nights.

December 31: in the morning we drive to Lucerne - the city of bohemia and carnivals, it will be remembered for a long time by elegant bridges, medieval streets, fortress wall. After lunch we return to Zurich, the financial center of the confederation (and the world!). You will not be able to see how unimaginable riches are "forged", but the buildings of Swiss banks on the most beautiful street in Europe are impressive. Return to the hotel, rest. Those who wish can have dinner at the hotel (possible only by reservation!).

New Year's Eve celebration in Zurich: late in the evening we leave for the most famous and grandiose New Year's Eve celebration in Switzerland - on the lake promenade in the center of Zurich: to the sound of bells, with concerts and magnificent fireworks!
around the lake stands with drinks and snacks, bars, music, radio stations, illumination; 23.40 - bells of all churches of the Old Town; 0.19 - lights off the city; 0.20 - 18min. big fireworks in honor of the change of the year over the lake from two ships, champagne splashes!
The rest of the night is spent in the hotel.

January 1 after breakfast at the hotel we leave for Basel. Familiarization with the city, spread along the banks of the Rhine, a tour of the famous Munster, the tomb of Anna of Habsburg and Erasmus of Rotterdam, the university, where the great Paracelsus taught, will make us repeat the Austrian Kaiser Franz: "I must once again visit Basel. Time to go home. Return to Germany in the late afternoon.
